• Lathrop naming park after longtime mayor, Dhaliwal (mantecabulletin.com) — Lathrop has officially named the former Basin Neighborhood Park as Sonny Dhaliwal Park, honoring the city’s longtime mayor and current county supervisor for more than two decades of service. The greenbelt at Westfield Drive and West Lathrop Road will get new signage, a monument plaque, and a ribbon-cutting celebration, with the city spending about $10,000 to mark the occasion.
