13-Time World Pizza Champion Opening Restaurant In Livermore
Beloved pizzeria Slice House will open its first Tri-Valley location in downtown Livermore, Livermore Downtown confirmed.
LIVERMORE, CA — One of the country’s most celebrated pizza restaurants is opening a location in downtown Livermore, Livermore Downtown, Inc. confirmed on social media in a post that received 872 likes, 84 comments, and 43 shares.
The excitement is warranted. Slice House, from 13-time world pizza champion Tony Gemignani, will open early next year at 1948 First Street in downtown Livermore, on the bottom floor of the Legacy at Livermore apartments, its first location in the Tri-Valley. Slice House started as a small restaurant in North Beach, and quickly expanded across the country. In addition to plenty of locations in Southern California and throughout the western US, Slice House currently has 11 locations in the Bay Area, including in Walnut Creek, Castro Valley, and San Leandro.
As its name implies, Slice House is best known for its extensive variety of New York, Detroit, Grandma, and Sicilian-style pizzas, some of which won the Gold Medal at the Food Network Pizza Champions Challenge. Slice House also offers menus for pasta, antipasti, salads, and desserts.

Founder Tony Gemignani has won numerous awards. In addition to being named the World Pizza Champion 13 times, he was named Top PIzza Maker by USA Today, #1 Pizza Brand of the Year by Pizza Marketplace, and Pizza Maker of the Year by 50 Top Pizza USA.
