Camp Shelley Registration Opens Soon

LIVERMORE, CA — If you'd love an affordable summer by the lake, you're in luck. Livermore residents get special pricing on Camp Shelley, a beautiful campsite in a pine forest near Lake Tahoe run by the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District.

Camp Shelley features 25 campsites, 25 parking spaces, a picnic table, fit pit with a grill, a bear-proof food locker, and a flat area for tents. Several camp sites can accommodate tent trailers or motor homes, while others can accommodate vehicles or trailers 24 feet long and 10 feet high.

A newly constructed restroom facility available to all campers offers flush toilets, hot showers, and mobility-friendly access. A few campsites have been designed to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges. Each campsite can accommodate up to eight people and one car. Additional cars cost an additional $10 per night.

Nearby, guests can enjoy an outdoor paradise offering hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, boating, and horseback riding. The campground also offers volleyball, horseshoes, ping pong, and a paved campground loop for bikes.

Reservations for Camp Shelly will open on the following dates starting at 9am:

• ADA Reservations: Monday, April 14 at 9 am
• Livermore Residents: Thursday, April 17 at 9 am
• General Public: Monday, April 28 at 9 am

Campsite Pricing:

• Livermore Residents (Mon-Thu): $55/night
• Livermore Residents (Fri-Sun): $60/night
• Non-Residents (Mon-Thu): $62/night
• Non-Residents (Fri-Sun): $67/night
