Car Crashes Into Pole In Livermore, Causing Fire & Outage
A car crashed into an electric pole late Tuesday night near 580, according to the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.
LIVERMORE, CA — A car crashed into a utility pole Tuesday night in Livermore, causing a power outage and small fire, according to the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.
At 9:45 p.m., LPFD units responded to reports of a collision on eastbound 580, east of Vasco Road. Crews found a vehicle resting on its side after leaving the roadway and striking a utility pole. The collision caused live electrical wires to fall across Southfront Road, resulting in a small fire and power outage.
The patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and crews extinguished the fire. Southfront Road was closed for several hours while PG&E repaired electrical lines.
