Car Flips, Hits Power Pole Near 580: ACFD

Crews extricated a driver Sunday from a car that had veered off the road and hit a pole near 580 and Grant Line Road.

TRACY, CA — A car veered off the road and hit an electric pole near eastbound 580 and Grant Line Road in Tracy Sunday afternoon, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

Crews from ACFD, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, and the South County Fire Department arrived to find a car on its side, with the roof resting against the pole, ACFD said.

Crews extricated the driver using a rope system to get the driver up the hill.

The driver was the only person and the car, and was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
