Carl Bernstein, Veteran Journalist, To Speak In Livermore
The man who helped break Watergate is speaking at the Bankhead Thursday.

LIVERMORE, CA — One of America’s foremost journalists is coming to Livermore this week. Carl Bernstein, best known for helping uncover the Watergate scandal that caused President Richard Nixon to resign, is speaking at the Bankhead Theater on Thursday.
Bernstein was a 28-year-old journalist when he helped uncover a break-in at the Watergate Hotel, alongside fellow Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward. New York Times journalist Gene Roberts said that these efforts, detailed in the book and film “All The President’s Men,” are “maybe the single greatest reporting effort of all time.”
Since then, Bernstein has served as a senior correspondent for ABC News, and written long pieces for Rolling Stone, The New Republic, Newsweek, and more. He is the author of six books, including a followup on the Watergate scandal, a biography of Pope John Paul II, and a biography of Hillary Clinton.
