Amgen Celebration Starts Tonight
Downtown shops, restaurants to kick off next stage of Amgen Tour with bike night celebration.
Residents will be celebrating all things bicycle-related in downtown Livermore tonight to kick off .
The eight-day bike tour started in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday, although that stage was scrubbed because of the weather, and is scheduled to end in Thousand Oaks on Sunday.
Stage 4 of the tour is set to start in Livermore at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. The athletes will bike 81 miles to San Jose, covering three grueling climbs along the way, according to the tour's website.

Downtown Livermore restaurants, shops, and artists are planning to kick off stage four tonight with a Bike Night celebration, event organizers said, with bike-themed food, drinks and art.
Tonight's Bike Night is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
