Cold Nights, Wind, High Tides Ahead: East Bay Forecast
Forecasters expect winds will kick up over the weekend, and overnight lows could get near freezing in parts of the East Bay early next week.
LIVERMORE, CA — The East Bay is in for some chilly mornings and breezy days, but little signs of rain are in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.
"A strong offshore wind event returns late tonight and continues through Sunday morning for the higher elevations of the Santa Cruz mountains," NWS Bay Area said Friday. "There may be another push of gusty winds Monday through Tuesday. Dry weather persists through the week."
Forecasters expect stronger offshore winds Saturday and Sunday, with gusts reaching 30 mph around Livermore and potentially hitting 40 mph around Concord. A wind advisory will be in place in the hills until Sunday morning, with gusts up to 50 mph in the forecast.

Overnight lows will stay relatively steady over the weekend before taking a tumble to start the work week. For much of the East Bay, the weather service morning temps will fall into the mid-30s, and could draw within a couple of degrees of freezing early Monday and Tuesday near Livermore.

A coastal flood advisory will be in place for Bayshore areas until noon Saturday due to high tides, which forecasters said could cause minor flooding during the morning hours.
