Firefighters Short-Circuit Warehouse Electrical Fire

White smoke seen from roof of building due to faulty electrical components, officials said.

Firefighters on Wednesday evening prevented a warehouse blaze after clearing it of faulty electrical components, officials said.

Emergency crews were dispatched at 9:39 p.m. to a report of white smoke coming from the rooftop of a warehouse on the 100 block of Wright Brothers Avenue, near East Jack London Boulevard.

Firefighters found smoke building up in the warehouse and were able to open up a large backroom door to ventilate the facility.

"There was no active fire and we were able to contain it to an electrical fire," Deputy Fire Chief Joe Rodondi said.
