Firefighters extinguished a small grass fire at Thursday afternoon, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Peters said.
The area of dry grass caught fire from a lawn mower. Most of the field was mowed down, which kept the blaze from spreading.
"If it was a windy day then we would of had a problem," Peters said.
