Granada High Teacher Passes Away
Officials say longtime educator found dead in his residence.

There's a rumor going on around town and on Facebook that a teacher died Thursday in his classroom.
That scenario did not happen, according to and Superintendent Kelly Bowers.
However, police did say a man was found dead Thursday in town and the death is not considered suspicious.

Bowers did confirm reports that a Granada High teacher passed away Thursday. The man was found dead at his home, she said.

He is described as a longtime educator at the campus and was popular with students.
Thursday's news adds to a pair of deaths that shook the school district this summer:
