TRACY, CA — A Bay Area company has recalled nearly 20,000 pounds of products for Kroger’s ready-to-eat apple walnut chicken salad bowls due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The recall from Tracy-based Taylor Farms Pacific is happening because the product may contain wheat, which is not on the label. The issue was discovered during a routine quality assurance check.

The bowls were produced from Feb. 28 to March 9 and are in 5.5-ounce clear plastic containers labeled Kroger Apple Walnut with Chicken Salad Kit For One with use-by dates of March 12 through March 22 and the establishment number P-34013.
