Las Positas Basketball Star Wins Major Honor

Jorren Edmonds played key role on Hawks' successful season

Las Positas sophomore guard Jorren Edmonds was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches 3C2A All-America Team.

A First-Team All-State and All-Coast North selection, Edmonds (Washington HS) averaged 12 points per game, shooting 50.2 percent from the field, 52.0 percent on 3 pointers, 80.3 percent on free throws, as well as averaging 6.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists a game.

“He did everything well,” Las Positas head coach James Giacomazzi.

The 6-foot-2 Edmonds, an honorable all-conference pick at Las Positas in 2021-22, has represented the Hawks twice in the State Elite 8 playoffs.

He had the respect of his teammates during this successful season. Freshman guard Jaden Woodard posted about Edmonds on X: “leader”.
