Livermore Children To Learn About Opera In New Library Program

The next Mozart could be discovered in Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA — Is there a future opera star in Livermore? We’ll find out on June 28.

The public library and Livermore Valley Opera will host an interactive program at Springtown Branch Library called An Introduction to Opera for Kids.

Children will learn the art of opera through music from Mozart’s The Impresario, the library said.

“Livermore Valley Opera was founded in 1992 and is now in its 31st season,” the library said. “Members of Livermore Valley Opera conduct several Educational Outreach programs
every year to make opera accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.”

No registration is required. The program, recommended for school-aged children, is at 1 p.m.
