Livermore Grass Fire Forced Temporary I-580 Off-Ramp Closure

BREAKING: The fire has been contained.

LIVERMORE, CA — A small grass fire this afternoon temporarily forced an off-ramp from eastbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore to be closed, according to the California Highway Patrol. One eastbound lane of the loop from Interstate Highway 580 to northbound Vasco Road was closed after a fire in the area was reported to the CHP at 2:09 p.m., CHP Officer Tyler Hahn said.

The fire has been contained and it was expected that the lane would be reopened by 3 p.m., Hahn said.
