Livermore Man Arrested On Child Sex Charges: SCPD

Santa Clara police say a 41-year-old Livermore man twice assaulted a child under 14 in a car outside a Santa Clara middle school.

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore man was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a minor under the age of 14.

On Monday, March 10, Santa Clara Police Department officers met with the victim and their mother, according to the Santa Clara Police Department. An investigation determined that the victim had met 41-year-old Gilberto David Nietoromo of Livermore on a social media site. Police say that Nietoromo met the victim on two separate occasions in the parking lot of a Santa Clara middle school, and sexually assaulted the victim twice inside a car.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant, and Nietoromo was arrested without incident by SCPD officers on March 13 near Industrial Way and South Vasco Road in Livermore. He was taken to Santa Clara County Main Jail and charged with seven felonies, including sexual assault, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, false imprisonment, and arranging to meeting with a minor. Nietoromo was also charged with four misdemeanors, including sending harmful matter intent on seducing a minor, arranging a meeting with a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to police.
