Livermore Man Arrested In Connection With 2 Car Thefts: Police
A 31-year-old man is charged with stealing two cars in Livermore over the span of two days in February, police said.
LIVERMORE, CA — A 31-year-old Livermore man was arrested in connection with two separate car thefts in Livermore, according to the Livermore Police Department.
On Feb. 8, officers responded to a report a car stolen on Via Granada sometime between midnight and 9 a.m., police said. Around noon, an officer spotted the the allegedly stolen vehicle pulling into the Home Depot parking lot on Las Positas Road.
Police saw the suspect approaching the car. They observed surveillance footage, and arrested him and his passenger, a 46-year-old from Oakland, on numerous charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle.

Livermore police were also investigating a car theft reported Feb. 7 from Del Mar Avenue. Police reviewed security footage, and identified the same 31-year-old man as the suspect. During questioning from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, the suspect provided the location of the stolen car in San Lorenzo. Officers later recovered the car with help from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect received additional charges related to the second theft.
