Livermore Man Killed In Oakland Identified: Reports
The coroner's bureau has released the name of a Livermore man with an extensive criminal history who crashed into a pole in Oakland.
LIVERMORE, CA — The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has identified a Livermore man killed in a crash in Oakland early Saturday morning, according to reports from the Bay Area News Group and Bay City News.
Jacy Meier, 45, was killed at around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when his car hit a utility pole, according to police reports. The car was reported as stolen Sept. 29 out of San Ramon, according to the Bay Area News Group. On Saturday, Meier was free on $20,000 bail for a Fremont case in which he was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car and possessing a firearm and burglar tools, according to court records reviewed by the Bay Area News Group.
Police said Meier had an extensive criminal record that included six felony convictions for drug possession, second-degree burglary, unlawful driving, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Meier was the lone occupant in the car Saturday. Police don’t yet know if drugs or alcohol played a role, according to Bay City News.
