Livermore One Of Nation's Best Small Cities: WalletHub

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore is one of the nation's best small cities, according to a new study from WalletHub. The study compared more than 1,300 cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 on 45 key indicators of livability, including affordability, housing, schools, safety and more.

Livermore scored the highest out of the four Tri-Valley-Valley cities included, with an overall score of 66.06, in the 95th percentile. By contrast, Carmel, Indiana, the highest-ranked city, scored 70.99. It scored 599th in Affordability, 246th in Economic Health, 248th in Education & Health, 101st in Quality of Life, and 313th in Safety.

Dublin placed in the 93rd percentile, with a composite score of 65.51. By contrast, Carmel, Indiana, the highest-ranked city, scored 70.99. It ranked 728th in Affordability, 8th in Economic Health, 220th in in Education & Health, 540th in Quality of Life, and 184th in Safety.

Below Dublin was San Ramon, which scored a 64.43 in the 88th percentile. It ranked 766th in Affordability, 27th in Economic Health, 229th In Education & Health, 586th in Quality of Life, and 79th in Safety.

Pleasanton scored a 64.06 in the 86th percentile. It ranked 760th in Affordability, 198th in Economic Health, 213th in Education & Health, 251st in Quality of Life, and 199th in Safety.

The lowest ranked city on the list is Isla Vista, a raucous party town on the beach popular with UCSB students. It scored a 37.83, and ranked 1318th in Affordability, 1318th in Economic Health, 552nd in Education & Health, 195th in Quality of Life, and 605th in Safety.
