Livermore Police Make 2 Major Drug Busts In One Day

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police announced that they made another drug-related arrest Saturday, the same day they arrested a man they allege possessed over 200 tabs of LSD, four pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 100 amphetamine pills, and much more in his home and car.

On Saturday at around 11:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they said had expired registration near North Canyons Parkway and Airway Boulevard, according to an LPD news release. Officers allege that they saw drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the car, and the suspect, 36-year-old Samuel Rose of San Jose, admitted to having methamphetamine in the car.

During a search of the vehicle, officers allege that they found 1.09 grams of suspected fentanyl, 7.42 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 15 hydrocodone pills, additional drug paraphernalia, and multiple forms of stolen property, including ID cards, debit and EBT cards, and membership cards belonging to other people.

Rose was arrested on several charges, including possession of controlled substances with prior convictions, police said.
