Livermore Shops Selling Mushrooms, Flavored Tobacco: Police

Livermore police conducted undercover compliance checks on 6 local businesses, and found two were noncompliant.

LIVERMORE, CA — Two Livermore businesses were found to be selling flavored tobacco, in violation of state law, according to the Livermore Police Department.

Plainclothes Livermore officers conducted compliance checks at six local businesses. One business sold officers other illegal products, including psilocybin mushrooms and enhancers, police said. Another business sold flavored tobacco products. All prohibited products were seized.

The business allegedly selling mushrooms could face up to $68,000 in fines, while the business selling flavored tobacco could face up to $7,500 in fines. The state charges $50 per prohibited products in fees.
