Livermore Team Plays At Little League Intermediate 50/70 World Series

The District 57 champions will compete with teams from all over the world this week at Max Baer Park in Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA — The eyes of the world are on Livermore again as it hosts the Little League Intermediate 50/70 World Series all week. The series is an international tournament for Little League players aged 11 to 13, and is named 50/70 because the pitching mound is 50 feet from home plate, and base paths are 70 feet apart, unlike the smaller Little Field dimensions of 46/60. Regional champions are divided into two pools: U.S. teams and international teams. Eventually the top teams from each pool face one another.

Teams from all around the country and the world are headed to Max Baer Park to compete, including the Livermore Little League team, which is representing District 57. They beat last year’s D57 champions, Bollinger Canyon Little League.

The games will be broadcast on ESPN+. See here for a full schedule.
