LIVERMORE VALLEY, CA – Livermore Valley Wine Country will host its annual Barrel Tasting Weekend on March 22nd & 23rd, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet winemakers and sample wines in development straight from the barrel at more than 20 wineries across the region.


Guests can explore a diverse selection of over a dozen varietals, including Livermore Valley’s newly recognized signature wines—Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Many wineries will also offer futures purchasing, allowing guests to buy barrel wines at a discounted rate before they are bottled. Beyond wine, several locations will feature live music, barrel furniture and art, and local food trucks.

Special Activities & Entertainment

Throughout the weekend, select wineries will host live music performances by popular local artists, including Sugar Bear, Jim Remy, Love Quinn, Carman Hammond, and jazz performances by Las Positas College students. Additional highlights include artisan vendors and interactive experiences such as McGrail Vineyards’ aroma bar.

Ticket Information

Barrel Tasting Weekend is an open-house-style event, meaning each winery will offer its own ticketed experience, with prices ranging from $15 to $30 per person. Each ticket will include a minimum of four wines, with a minimum of two barrel samples to taste. Some wineries will offer tasting fee refunds with bottle purchases.
