LIVERMORE, CA — Sherri Souza has taken over as president and CEO of the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce, the organization announced in a news release.

Souza is a long-time Livermore resident and real estate broker who served as the chamber’s interim director for 10 months after former director Dawn Argula went on medical leave. Souza has been a realtor for 20 years, and later served as the California and then national president of the National Women’s Council of Realtors.

“Sherri brings to the Chamber her experience as a business owner, volunteer leader, and previous LVCC board member experience and has a long term passion for the work of the Livermore Valley Chamber,” LVCC Chair Jody Amos said at the Chairman’s Circle Reception earlier this month. “Her favorable reputation in the community is an important asset to the Chamber and will assist in strengthening Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce moving forward.”
