Livermore Vying To Be Named 'All-America City' In 2021

Livermore is the only CA city in the running. See which other cities are finalists.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore announced it is the lone California city in the running for the National Civic League's 2021 All-America City award.

Twenty finalists across 15 states are vying for the title. Winners will be recognized for efforts to build equitable and resilient communities.

In its application, Livermore said it highlighted its efforts to battle vaping; youth mental health; create a working group on equity and inclusion; open a wellness center; address housing inequity and homelessness; and launch diverse clubs at public schools.

Livermore's application was filed in February by the city, Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District, Livermore Area Recreation and Park District and Las Positas College. Next, the city will make a presentation in June to explain why it should win the award.
