LIVERMORE, CA — A man was arrested in Livermore on drug and gun charges, according to the Livermore Police Department.

At 1 a.m. Tuesday, Livermore police conducted a check on a car that had been idle for several hours in a parking lot of Kitty Hawk Road, police said. While speaking with the 21-year-old suspect, the Livermore officer reportedly observed a gun in plain view on the backseat. Officers found that the gun was loaded with an extended magazine.

A subsequent search of the car revealed 17.15 grams of cocaine, 19 grams of cannabis packaged for sales, a digital scale, and large quantities of cash, police said. Officers also say they found a disassembled firearm, additional ammunition, and a 50-round drum magazine.

The suspect was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail on multiple gun and drug-related charges, police said.
