Man Linked To 40+ Commercial Burglaries In Livermore Arrested: LPD

An Oakland man has been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary ring that targeted dozens of industrial Livermore businesses.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police said that they have identified and arrested a suspect in a major burglary ring that targeted commercial businesses, plumbing companies, auto shops, construction companies, and trucking businesses across the city.

Since September 2024, Livermore businesses, primarily in the industrial areas, have been impacted by more than 40 commercial burglaries, according to police. The suspects carried out multiple burglaries at night, where they stole vehicles, tools, and equipment worth thousands of dollars. Suspects burgled cars, stole cars and trucks, and crashed stolen trucks through roll-up doors to gain entry.

In November, Livermore police responded to an alarm activation at a business, which led to a vehicle pursuit with the suspect. The chase ended when the car was abandoned in Pleasanton. Investigators were eventually able to identify the suspect as a 36-year-old man from Oakland.
