A pedestrian was transported Monday morning to a hospital after being struck and run over by a vehicle at the intersection of Vasco Road and Industrial Way, officials said.

The accident was reported around 9 a.m. Witnesses told police that a man was walking in a crosswalk with the crossing lights on when he was struck by a vehicle, Sgt. John Hurd said.
