Person Airlifted From Bay Area Park Amid Medical Emergency
A person was safely rescued on Sunday after experiencing a medical emergency in Brushy Peak Regional Reserve.

LIVERMORE, CA — A person was airlifted out of Brushy Peak Regional Reserve on Sunday morning after experiencing a medical emergency, authorities said.
Tri-Valley firefighters responded to a call near the popular hiking area just before 9 a.m. Initially, firefighters were dispatched to Vasco and Los Vaqueroes Road but additional information led crews to Brushy Peak, according to Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Local 1974.
After arriving, firefighters called in additional support, including and a helicopter paramedic crew, officials said.

Firefighters administered "advanced life support" medical assistance until the helicopter arrived to take the patient to a local trauma center. Neither patient's name or condition was released.
"We take great pride in the service we provide to our community," firefighters wrote on Facebook.
