False Alarm: Report of Armed Man on North P Street Unfounded
No arrests made after police surround home in response to report of person with gun to their head.
The 600 block of North P Street was temporarily closed Monday while responded to a report of a man who may have a gun to his head.
At 2:19 p.m., officers shut down the street from Linden to Elm Streets.
Police, with guns drawn, set up a perimeter around a home before calling out occupants of the residence via their PA system.

Sgt. Jason Boberg said officers set up a perimeter as a precaution because they were unsure if the man was a threat to the public.
At 2:48 p.m., a man walked out of the home with his hands up. He was temporarily detained by police and questioned before being released.

A few minutes later a woman was called out of a home in the area. She too was temporarily detained and questioned before being released.
Another man, who had no shirt on, then came out of the home. He was detained by police and questioned for about 15 minutes before being released.
"All you guys...I'm so sorry," the man told police after he was released.
No gun was found at the home, Boberg said.
