Popular Livermore Restaurant Reopens Friday After Months-Long Hiatus
Zephyr Grill & Bar is hosting a grand reopening Friday after a small kitchen fire required months of cleaning and renovations.

LIVERMORE, CA — Zephyr Grill & Bar is hosting a grand reopening ceremony Friday after a four-month hiatus caused by a kitchen fire in early July.
“It’s official - we’re back!” the First Street steakhouse, which specializes in upscale American cuisine, said in a social media post Monday.
“We’re so excited to announce that Zephyr Grill & Bar will be reopening Friday, November 7 at 11 a.m. We just aced our health inspection and are waiting for the final city sign-off (which should come any minute now.) Our team is already placing orders, bringing back staff, and firing up the kitchen - it’s almost showtime!”

The restaurant closed after a small fire in the prep area July 1 caused extensive water, smoke, and soot damage. On July 18, the restaurant announced that it would install new floors, repaint the entire restaurant, and hire an industrial hygienist to ensure full safety before reopening.
In addition to cleaning and painting, the restaurant said it has updated its menu and hours. It will now offer special promotions like Martini Monday ($7 martinis and specialty cocktails); Wine Wednesday (half off select bottles); and Sunday Supper, a full fried chicken dinner offered from 4-8 p.m.
