Princeton Way Fire Extinguished
Unattended iron ignited nearby clothes in small house fire.
Firefighters on Tuesday morning extinguished a small house blaze on the 3800 block of Princeton Way, near East Avenue.
The fire was caused by an unattended iron in a laundry room that ignited nearby clothes, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Chief Jim Miguel said.
"It was a close call," he said. "Firefighters were able to quickly knock it down."

The fire was contained to the laundry room, causing minimal damage, Miguel said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 9:24 a.m. The fire was put out by 9:30 a.m.
