Seinfeld's Jason Alexander To Headline Brilliance At The Bankhead 9/9

The Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor and comedian best known for playing George Costanza will headline the Bankhead's September gala.

LIVERMORE, CA — “Do you ever get down on your knees and thank God you know me and have access to my dementia?” George Costanza once asked Jerry Seinfeld on the hit show.

In September, Livermore residents will get that same access. Jason Alexander, the Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor best known for playing George on the hit sitcom “Seinfeld,” will headline the Brilliance at the Bankhead fundraising gala on Saturday, Sept. 9, Livermore Valley Arts announced Thursday.

In addition to playing George Costanza - which earned him six Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe nominations, an American Television Award, and two American Comedy Awards - Alexander has starred in several films, TV shows, and plays, including “Friends,” “Shallow Hal”, “Pretty Woman,” Disney’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Criminal Minds,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and many more. He won a Tony Award for his performance in “Jerome Robbins’ Broadway.”

Alexander will bring comedy and a whimsical salute to Broadway and the Tri-Valley during his performance. He will be joined by the Livermore-Amador Symphony.

Proceeds from the gala will support the Bankhead Theater, the Bothwell Arts Center, and the nonprofit’s large variety of educational and cultural arts programming. In 2022, the gala was headlined by famed singer-songwriter Ben Folds.
