Deadly Crash On 580 Prompts SigAlert
The right three lanes of eastbound 580 are blocked following a collision between a semi and a sedan.

LIVERMORE, CA - A SigAlert was issued Wednesday morning on eastbound I-580 east of Greenville Road in Livermore due to a fatal car accident. The right three lanes on eastbound I-580 were blocked. The SigAlert was lifted at about 10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 6:45 a.m., a gray 2007 Toyota Corolla traveling on I-580 eastbound near Greenville Road drifted toward the right, and crashed with yellow attenuator barrels on the right shoulder, according to CHP Officer Tyler Hahn. That caused the Corolla to stop, and block one of the lanes. The driver, a 51-year-old man from Tracy, left his car and was standing toward the back of it when a Freightliner semi-truck towing a box trailer crashed into his car.
The man, whose name has not been released, was hit by both the Corolla and the truck, causing fatal injuries.
