Vasco Road Reopens Following Major Crash: CHP

All lanes on Vasco Road have reopened following a major accident with injuries between a big rig and a delivery van.

LIVERMORE, CA —All lanes on Vasco Road are reopened as of 2 p.m. Wednesday following a major accident with injuries between a big rig and a delivery van, according to the California Highway Patrol. All lanes were closed for roughly two hours.

The collision occurred at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday morning on Vasco Road, around the border between Alameda and Contra Costa counties, according to CHP. Part of the van impaled the driver, CHP said, and the van driver was unable to get out. At least one person was hospitalized.

CHP issued a SigAlert just after 11:21, and by 11:37 all lanes were blocked. By 1:30, CHP declared the roadway clear and said it would reopen the lanes.
