There's A New Singing Teacher In Town!

Master Teacher and Clinician Sets Up Shop In Livermore

The Sarah Sloan Vocal Studio, the longest running voice studio in the Tri-Valley area has set up shop in Livermore. After almost 20 years in Dublin Sarah, along with her husband Mike Heffner, a physicist at Lawrence Livermore Lab, decided to take the plunge and head to wine country.

"Livermore is the perfect community for a voice and music studio. How many mid-size cities can boast of an opera company AND a Shakespeare company" says Sloan. "And with so many smaller musical acts performing at the wineries, it's a truly ideal location for my business".

Sarah is also an accomplished performer with many theatrical and musical companies throughout the Bay Area. She has performed with SPARC Theatre, Tri-Valley Rep and Pleasanton Chamber Players to name a few. She enjoys working with beginners and has many students win local competitions every year. Her students have gone on to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and Berkelee School of Music.

"Many people are under the misconception that you need talent to take singing lessons" says Sloan, "But really, with enough dedication and commitment, anyone can learn to sing".
