Tri-Valley Artist Studio Tour To Showcase Region's Artistic Talent

This weekend, art from dozens of Tri-Valley artists will be on display in Danville, Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA — Whether you want to try your hand at painting Van Gogh sunflowers or watch a painter create en plein air, the Alliance for the Visual Arts’ Tri-Valley Artist Studio Tour has plenty to offer.

Throughout the weekend, the public is welcome to experience the full array of artistic talent in the Tri-Valley. Fifteen different artist venues in Danville, Dublin, Pleasanton and Livermore will be open for shows, demonstrations, Q&As, refreshments and more.

A number of artists will also provide live demonstrations and interactive exhibits throughout the weekend, which include:

  • Wood-turning demonstration and classical piano concert at the home of David Goosman
  • Watercolor demonstration at the home of Meghana Mitragotri
  • A chance to watch students at the Art Process working on projects
  • A talk on the painting styles of Vincent Van Gogh at the Blue Dog Art Studio, with a chance for guests to try it themselves
  • Lino-cut printing and East Asian brush painting demonstrations at the Blue Dog Art Studio
  • Demonstrations of jewelrymaking, fiber art, clay paintings, acrylic painting, pastels, watercolors, slow stitch fiber books, and encaustic hot wax at the Firehouse Arts Center
  • Demonstrations on acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, gelli printing, and carving pottery clay at the Frame of Mind Studio

  • Demonstrations of oil painting and texture art at the Bothwell Arts Center
