Tri-Valley Haven Pace For Peace Registration Available
The annual run or walk raises money and awareness for victims of domestic violence.
LIVERMORE, CA — Tri-Valley Haven is hosting its annual Pace for Peace 5K/10K Walk/Run on Oct. 5 to raise money and awareness for victims of domestic violence, which is held each year during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
All the money raised will go to Tri-Valley Haven's programs to help local individuals and families fleeing domestic abuse, and help pay for an emergency shelter, counseling, legal support and transitional housing. Each year, Tri-Valley Haven receives approximately 4,000 calls for help, or 11 crises each day.
The run/walk is available for everyone, including pets and strollers. It will begin and end at the Community Building on 3663 Pacific Avenue at 8 a.m. Food and drink will be provided.
