13th Annual Uptown Jazz Festival In Long Beach Kicks Off Next Month

The Long Beach Jazz Festival, a beloved summer event and North Long Beach tradition, is set to take place Aug. 3, the city announced.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Uptown Jazz Festival returns to Long Beach for the 13th year on Aug. 3, officials announced Thursday.

“Uptown Jazz Festival, a beloved summer event and North Long Beach tradition, is back with its incredible lineup of music and entertainment,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “Now in its thirteenth year, festival goers can look forward to an afternoon filled with soulful melodies, delicious food and drinks, family-friendly activities, and more.”

The list of performers includes Ryck Jane, Katalyst, Angelo Pagan y La Candela and BJ the Chicago Kid. Each act will bring their own style to the stage for the Long Beach community throughout the afternoon.

The city worked together to put on the free festival, which will include live music, a food and beer garden, vendors and a space for kids to play all day. The event will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Houghton Park.
