2 No-Hit Shootings Occur An Hour Apart In Long Beach: Police

No injuries were reported in the two separate shootings that happened just over an hour apart, LBPD said.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach police are investigating two separate shootings that happened Sunday night just over an hour apart from each other, according to authorities.

The first shooting was reported at about 9:28 p.m. in the 2400 block of East 15th Street. According to officers, a man and a woman were arguing during an outdoor party and it escalated when the man pulled out a gun and shot a nearby fence.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, but evidence of a shooting, including bullet casings and strike marks, was found at the scene. No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing, LBPD said.

The second incident was reported at 10:32 p.m. in the 1100 block of East 37th Street. When officers arrived, nobody was at the scene but officers located evidence that a shooting happened.

Suspect information and the motive are still unknown, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
