Raised in the city and a member of the force since 2000, she has led key units, supported officer wellness and training, and remains active in community programs and local events.
   

• Robbers fatally beat 73-year-old trying to enter his home, Long Beach police say (lbpost.com) — Long Beach police are now investigating the death of 73-year-old resident Jose Eduardo Viveros as a homicide after he was assaulted and robbed while trying to enter his Elm Avenue home in April. Authorities say he later died from his injuries and are asking anyone with information about the group of suspects to contact homicide detectives or Crime Stoppers.
