LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Jazz Festival has been canceled this year, with the event's promoters citing "circumstances beyond our control."

The 36th Annual Long Beach Jazz Festival was expected to be held Aug. 9 and 10 at Marina Green Park. But promoters Rainbow Promotions announced this week that they had made the "difficult decision" to cancel this year's show.

The show will return 2026 to the Long Beach Amphitheater, a temporary concert venue near the Queen Mary.

"We feel this is the necessary step to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved," the Rainbow Promotions team said in a statement this week. "We appreciate your understanding during this time, and we look forward to welcoming you in 2026 for what will be a truly spectacular celebration of music and community."

Anyone who bought a ticket in advance will either be refunded or rolled over for access to next year's event, according to Rainbow Promotions.
