It's unclear what prompted the shooting, but Long Beach police say it happened around 12:24 a.m. in the 1900 block of 45th Street. There, 56-year-old Long Beach resident Travis Lee Robinson was shot once in the upper body, according to police. Officers rendered aid to the man but he died at the scene, police said. No suspect information was immediately available. The LBPD asks anyone with more information regarding the crash to contact detectives at 562-570-7244. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may submit a tip through "LA Crime Stoppers" by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), downloading the "P3 Tips" app to your smartphone (available at the Apple App store and Google Play), or visiting <a href="http://www.lacrimestoppers.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.lacrimestoppers.org</a>.
