Aquarium Hosts Otter Bowl IV In Lieu Of Super Bowl 2020
Move over, Puppy Bowl. These football-chasing otters at the Aquarium of the Pacific might just be cuter than the puppies on T.V.

LONG BEACH, CA — The Puppy Bowl has been a tradition for animal lovers and football loathers alike each year on Super Bowl Sunday. But the Aquarium of the Pacific has something to one-up the puppies: otters.
The Aquarium's sea otters will vie for the championship at Otter Bowl IV, which will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 2.
"The fast-paced action will include collecting footballs made out of frozen clams and retrieving enrichment toys," the Aquarium said. "There will be lots of eating and playing going on during this big game as the sea otters compete."

The game starts during the 4 p.m. sea otter show in the Northern Pacific Gallery, and an Aquarium educator will be calling the play-by-play, the press release said. The otters will be off exhibit in their "locker room" at 3:30 p.m. so the Aquarium’s animal experts can prepare the “field” for Otter Bowl VI, according to the Aquarium.
Visitors can receive discounted admission after 3 p.m. on February 2 for the Otter Bowl. Admission will be $19.95 per person from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
