Argument Turns Deadly Outside Long Beach Grand Prix
The shooting happened Saturday in the downtown area, according to police.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon during an argument in Downtown Long Beach, according to police.
Long Beach police say the man was arguing with a suspect or suspects around 5:50 p.m. in the 0 block of Cedar Walk when someone shot him multiple times.
Officers responding to the scene rendered aid to the man until Long Beach Fire Department personnel took him to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

The man's identity was not immediately released as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office works to notify his relatives.
It's unclear if police arrested anyone involved in the shooting. No suspect information was available and the Long Beach Police Department said additional circumstances surrounding the shooting were still under investigation.

The area where the shooting happened was crowded at the time with people attending the 2025 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
