LONG BEACH, CA — Students at one Long Beach Middle School were under lockdown Tuesday morning due to a potential bomb threat, according to reports.<a href="https://ktla.com/news/local-news/southern-california-middle-school-evacuated-due-to-potential-bomb-threat/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">According to KTLA</a>, a pipe bomb or something that resembled a pipe bomb was found in a grassy area near Hamilton Middle School, but police did not confirm those reports. Long Beach Police Department officers and K-9 units began canvassing the campus just after 8:30 a.m., KTLA said.Parents gathered outside the school as students were ushered into the school's auditorium as a precaution.Police deemed the threat non-credible and the campus was cleared by 9 a.m. No additional information was immediately available.
