The Five News Headlines That Everyone’s Talking About
- The Long Beach Creative Group plans a July art show and is inviting local artists to participate. But hurry! Submissions are due June 6. (The Grunion)
- The California Air Resources Board may require LB to replace its municipal trucks as early as 2024 to meet zero-emission standards. (City of LB)
- Memorial Day weekend will be the restart of the AquaLink water taxi service. Shut down because of COVID-19, it returns for FREE weekend-only service. (LP Post)
- Even though vandals burned down the Long Beach Pride Tower, it has inspired neighboring cities to paint one of their lifeguard towers in Pride rainbow colors. (Spectrum News 1)
- The City announces that, so far, it has reunified 400 unaccompanied minors from the southern border with family members or caregivers. The Convention Center still houses 353 youngsters. (City of LB)
