LONG BEACH, CA — A campus-wide power outage at California State University, Long Beach prompted school officials to cancel classes for the safety of students, staff and faculty.

The outage began at 5:30 p.m. and the university advised all people to leave the campus or remain away as all critical systems were inoperable, including elevators and air handling.

All on-site classes as well as online classes that are affected by the outage were canceled due to the outage.
