- LBPD officers responded to the scene of a fatal double shooting near the corner of Pacific Avenue and Anaheim Street. At this time, the police have no suspects. Critics point to the City’s lack of 230 officers who used to be here in the past. (Fox 11, LBReport)
- The LBPD apprehended an alleged human trafficker near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Hill Street. The 23-year-old man was charged with “sex trafficking a minor with violence, kidnapping for ransom and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.” A teen mom and her infant were rescued. (KTLA)
- Atlantic Plaza condo residents are appealing to the City’s Planning Commission to rethink its development at 525 East Broadway. What was a restaurant will be replaced with a seven-story apartment building that could block natural light from reaching Atlantic Plaza’s residents. They request that the Commission increases the nine-foot distance between the buildings. (LB Post)
