DMV Expands Number of Self Service Terminals Across California
The kiosk offers drivers a convenient way to register their vehicles, according to the DMV.

If the thought of waiting in line at the DMV just to renew your vehicle registration sends you into a deep despair, then you're in luck. The California Department of Motor Vehicle is expanding its self-service terminal, called DMV Now, to more offices throughout the state.
The blue-and-gold self-service kiosks are designed for people who need their vehicle-registration cards and license-plate tags immediately, according to the DMV. The machines are now available at 60 locations in California.

The machine is easy to use and was designed to save you time, the DMV said. All you would need is your vehicle-registration renewal notice or your most recent vehicle-registration card. The touch-screen machine offers instructions in English and Spanish and accepts cash, credit and debit cards, and checks.
You can also use the machine to file for a planned non-operation status if you decided to no longer drive your car.
